Why Macadamia Nut is a nut you should never use

Nut-loving nut-eaters can now get a taste of the nutty goodness that is Macadamias by buying a jar of the nuts from a Sydney supermarket.

The nuts are being made available through a deal on the Macadmia Nut Store website for a limited time, and the sale includes a 10 per cent discount on macadamia nut products.

The sale runs from today until May 6, and there is no purchase required to buy.

It comes as the Australian Government is preparing to reintroduce a tax on the nuts which will see farmers pay up to $50 per kilogram.

The nut is used in cooking and in making chocolate bars and other foods.

Its high in the good fats and minerals that make up a healthy diet and contains the protein that gives nuts their crunch.

However, some people have expressed concerns about the high amount of sugar found in macadamas.

This has led to concerns that they could be unhealthy for children, particularly those who are sensitive to sugar.

The Government has now confirmed that it will be introducing a new tax on sugar in the coming months.

“We’ve got to keep this in mind as we go along,” Health Minister Jill Hennessy said.

“It’s really important that we do a proper review of the sugar content of the products we sell to ensure we’re taking all the relevant information and making sure that it’s not just sugar and processed food.”

The sale also includes a special offer of the Maca Nut Bar, which is currently priced at $3.99 for a 12-pack.

The $3-a-bar macadmias will now be available at the Macabahons store from June 1, with a 10-pack being available from April 15.
