The participants were asked about the effect of eating a small amount of cheese on their mood, which had been measured by their feelings of anxiety, depression, and social anxiety.
The researchers also used the cheese’s influence on personality traits to see if cheese-eating affected them.
The study, which was published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, revealed that cheese eating did indeed help people feel happier and less anxious.
